Wander Through My Week #4

Hey everyone! Hope you’ve all had a good week. I haven’t really been up to anything exciting this week, but here are some of the ups and downs I’ve been through in the past week…

Fire!! Fire!!

I woke up on Saturday morning and spent about an hour watching YouTube videos and then, there was the loudest knock at the front door. I went to the door, my hair in the highest, messiest bun and sporting my Lion King pjs (Primark…I love you!) and there were 5 very, very attractive firemen standing on my doorstep.(I was shocked that all 5 of them were actually really cute!). I had heard a bit of noise outside but didn’t pay much attention, I just assumed the bins were getting emptied a day early!

To cut a long story short, there was a small appliance fire next door and they were just offering free fire safety tests to the surrounding homes. Aside from the fact it means a return visit by one of them (I hope it was the insanely cute one that did all the talking, haha), I really wanted to get everything checked and make sure everything is okay, especially with electrics. They are going to check the circuit and test the smoke alarms (my house is over 3 floors) which will definitely put my mind at ease. I take fire safety really seriously and think that everyone should.

Travel Bloggers Chat

I have co-founded @tbloggerschat with the lovely @alicesdesk and @jasxcharlotte. Chats will run every Thursday 9pm BST. I’m really excited and can’t wait until I host! I hoping to share my travel tips, but more looking forward to chatting with other bloggers and finding out about their travel experiences, getting inspiration and adding even more destinations to my travel wish list! For me, it’s not all about travelling abroad – I think there are so many places here in Scotland (and the rest of the UK) that I love and so many that I still want to visit. So wherever you have travelled to or wherever is on your wish list – come join us!

The above picture is one of my favourite pictures that I took in Nafplio, Greece – the moon looks amazing!

Holiday Shopping & Tunisia

First of all, my thoughts go out to all the families and friends of the victims who sadly lost their lives due to recent terrorist attacks. Life can be so cruel sometimes

I did a little bit of holiday shopping at the start of the week (Topshop, Primark and Superdrug) and I will do a haul post soon. I am due to fly to Tunisia six weeks today and a few people have asked me what my plans are. All I will say is that I visited Tunisia last year and it is an amazing place, the people are hospitable and welcoming. As for my approaching trip, my friend and I still plan to travel to Sousse as planned if our tour operator gives us the go ahead (which we will worry about nearer the time, they have more important matters to deal with just now) Sadly, these tragedies could happen anywhere and in all honesty, no-one can guarantee that anywhere is completely safe from such attacks.

Well that’s my week! What have all you been up to! I’m really excited about the week ahead: I have a few dinners planned, a Kiehl’s facial booked and some exciting blog stuff happening! Let me know what you’ve been up to in the comments below or by tweeting me @thingsarahloves
