Wander Through My Week #3

Hey everyone! Hope you all have had a great week. Mine has been busy and had some personal stuff going on (will explain more below!) hence my lack of posts. I also had some technical problems (don’t even ask!) but things are okay now and everything is back on track – yay! Anyway, here are some of the things I’ve been up to this week.

Chilli Sauce Heaven!

I went shopping in Glasgow City Centre on Saturday  (it was mayhem!) and headed to Sauchiehall Street. There were lots of little market stalls set up selling different foods, sweets, plants and my favourite thing  – CHILLI SAUCE! I have chilli sauce with pretty much everything so you can imagine my excitement  at discovering The Wiltshire Chilli Farm  stand giving me the chance to sample so many different chilli sauces! (I wanted to get a photo but it was so busy!). I bought their Blackberry Chilli Sauce (£4.00) which is so delicious (limited edition I think)  and I can’t wait to use it. I’m going to do a full blog post with dishes I make using different chilli sauces soon and look out for posts on my favourite hot sauces!

The Transplant Journey Continues…

This week was pretty tough because I had a few hospital appointments and it’s never fun. For those of you who don’t follow me on Twitter, I had a transplant last August. My recovery is going well but it is such a long journey. Thankfully, most of my meds have been reduced and my body has welcomed it’s new friend with open arms so I am very lucky. My surgeons are really great and have been so supportive throughout everything. I went from waking up one day for what I thought would be a normal day, to being rushed hospital and going onto a long transplant waiting list out of nowhere. It has changed my life completely. I can’t thank the donor and their family enough. There are so many things I want to do in the future and raising awareness of the importance of organ donation is one of them. Life can change in an instant and before you know it, you could be the one praying that a stranger you have never met steps in and saves the day…

Oh, if any of you are going through a transplant, are on a transplant waiting list or know someone who is and want to talk, please get in touch! I’m always looking for new transplant buddies!

New Phone & Diary

I finally got a phone upgrade – yay!! I couldn’t decide if I wanted the Samsung S5 or S6 and at the very last minute, decided to get the S5! I’m loving it so far and I really like the camera. It is so delicate though so I am scared of breaking it! Really need to get a screen cover! I also picked up this diary from The Works which I really like and was a bargain at £1.99! I didn’t want something that was bulky but I needed room to write down everything I need to remember to keep me super organised – this is perfect!

I did a LOT of shopping this week so look out for haul videos coming soon! Hope you all had a great week. Let me know what you have been up to in the comments below or tweet me @thingsarahloves. Have a great week!
