Wander Through My Week #1

Hey everyone!

Every Sunday I’m going to post a ‘Wander Through My Week’ post and chat about the highs and lows of my week before a new one begins. I hope it helps everyone who reads my blog, or has just stumbled across it, to get to know me a bit better. Here is how my week has been…

Missing My Gran & Spending Quality Time With My Mum

I didn’t take any pictures of this day because this was a private moment for me and my family. As you will know if you read Thursday’s post Remembering My Wonderful Gran & Coping With Bereavement , the 4th was the anniversary of my gran’s passing.  The build up to this day has been tough,  particularly on my mum which is never easy to see. We decided to go for breakfast and just spend some quality family together with my younger brother and sister. It was actually really lovely and I maintained composure for the day. But then on Thursday night whilst I was on my own, I sat and looked at the very last photo taken of my gran which I have in a frame and I just completely broke down. Sometimes a cry does help though.
A huge thanks to everyone who tweeted, commented or emailed me telling me their stories. It is nice to connect with others who are growing through difficult times the same way you are. Thanks!
Am I A Craftaholic?

So many of you have been loving Hugo the Hedgehog and I think I have gone a little craft mad! On Saturday 6th, I attended a craft group in Glasgow. It was so much fun – about 40 of us getting together to enjoy different crafts. In advance, you had to select which two crafts you would like to do (demos and help were given!). I chose to make jewellery and some cards using stamps & punches. Here are a few photos showing how I got on and the finished results!  The birthday card is for a friend in the States and I think he is going to love the fact I made it myself. The owl card is for one of my best friends who is obsessed with owls and has dragged me to owl sanctuaries a lot!

The group were amazing and I had such a lovely afternoon. The tea and homemade lemon cupcake went down a treat too! I can’t wait to attend next month!

Tweeting Mad

When I first started my blog, I knew Twitter would play a role in my blogging life. I was not prepared for how amazing it would actually be and the awesome fellow bloggers I would chat to. In particular, the #ltbloggers chat has been so much fun and I’m really excited to host for them on June 18th! I’ve become addicted to Twitter which my friends find hilarious, because I always swore that would never happen! Make sure to follow and don’t miss all the fun @ltbloggers
