The lovely Lydia over at Electric Suede tagged me in this fun tag and it’s all about things that hopefully, I will achieve this summer! Sorry I’m a little late but there’s still plenty of time to go! Here is my little list…
1. Enjoy my Holiday!
I’m off to Lanzarote with my friend soon and I really want to make sure this is a holiday we both really enjoy – we deserve it! For different reasons, it’s been quite a difficult year for both of us and we really deserve a break. Neither of us have been and we are so excited!! We are staying in an adults only hotel (sorry, I don’t do kids) and I want to enjoy chilling, reading some books and exploring (the place, not just the cocktail menu!! Haha!!).
Don’t you always find that you get so excited about going on holiday but when you are there you don’t always fully appreciate every second? I sometimes get like that and then I kick myself when I come back and life returns to normal! Look out for my upcoming blog post on how to enjoy every second of your holiday coming soon!
2. Quality Time with my Sister
Aww this one is very important to me. If you don’t already know, I have a younger sister who is 23 (soon to be 24) and we are both really close. We’ve already had a couple of day trips away and a few baking evenings which have been so much fun. I really want to do this more and hopefully if the weather is nice, we can slot in some more fun day trips away!
3. Work Out More!
Yeah, it is time to get my ass firmly in gear! I’ve got a PT (who is awesome) and I really want to work harder and push myself. No pain, no gain!
4. Be More Creative!
As you many know from some of my previous blog posts, (Jewellery Making & Hedgehog Creating) I LOVE CRAFTS!! Not only do I find it so relaxing, I just love creating something out of nothing and working towards a finished result. I’ve been busy working on some crafting blog post tutorials (which has been fun, but really hard work!) and I’m so excited to share these on my blog.
You may not know this, but I used to run my own little business making and selling soaps/bath bombs which I had to put on hold due to my transplant. As I continue to recover, I hope that I can start making these again and share even more tutorials with you! I loved attending craft fairs and this summer, I really want to work on my crafts and throw myself back into the wonderful crafting community.
5. Appreciate Every Moment
This is something that I think we should all do. Already this summer, so many tragedies have occurred and the sad thing is, it takes these horrible instances to happen to make us all appreciate what we have. This summer, I want to really focus on the what I do have and be grateful for that, instead of mulling over the stupid little things that I don’t! I’m not generally a negative person, but my own personal transplant journey has played a massive role in changing my outlook on life. Life is totally for living and you only live once! (And this will continue beyond the summer!)
What are you guys doing this summer? I’m literally tagging EVERYONE!! Write a blog post, leave a comment below or tweer me @thingsarahloves and share your goals this summer!
