The Best Dry Shampoo I Have EVER Used!

It took me a long, long time to jump on the dry shampoo band wagon – I was never even a fan of the whole concept, never mind actually using one. I admit it – I was one of those people that washed their hair every, single day (I know, I know. So many people throughout the years have had a go at me!). I say ‘was’ because one sole product has completely changed my daily hair washing habit.

As well as reading a lot of blogs, I watch far too many Youtube videos (who doesn’t nowadays?) and I was so excited when Ruth Crilly from A Model Recommends announced that she was launching a dry shampoo range called COLAB.. I picked up the LONDON fragrance (200ml, £3.49 from Superdrug) and honestly, didn’t expect much from it. But now, I am officially a dry shampoo convert!

What I really like is that there is no white powder residue visible on my hair (that was my big problem with some others). The powder is so light, yet it absorbs oil effectively and makes my hair feel so refreshed (okay, probably not the best word but you get the idea). I use a little on second day hair (I admit, sometimes third) and I am really impressed with the results (which says a lot for someone who for the past 18 years has probably washed their hair every single day). It’s not the exact same as washing your hair, but I will give it second place. Oh, and sometimes I use it on just washed hair to give a little bit of texture.

The COLAB range comes in a variety of lovely scents which are all named after cities (nice touch!) but my favourite is LONDON. I can’t even begin to describe the smell but it is lovely!.It is described as being ‘A classic yet contemporary fragrance of bergamot, musk & magnolia‘. I think contemporary is the right word to use here – it just smells like something you would want your hair to smell like!.I have no problem with my hair smelling like this AT ALL!

The dry shampoos are also available in 100ml (perfect for travel) as well as 200ml. I haven’t tried the Extreme Volume Range yet but I am really excited to! They are amazing value for money and honestly, for the job they do, I would happily pay a little more.

This sounds interesting – I occasionally use dry shampoo (Batiste) but am not really a fan, I'll only use it when I'm desperate, haha. Maybe I should give this one a try! Thanks for recommending 🙂

Thanks for commenting! I'm not a fan of Batiste either. I highly recommend this though! Let me know how you get on!

I love the Paris scent, it's floral and lovely. They're bringing out a new one that is meant to add volume so I can't wait to try that 🙂

I always use the Batiste Coconut/Tropical scented one because it smells lovely, the white residue sucks though! I'm still waiting for a brand to bring out one I can use on pink hair!

Thanks for this, your timing couldn't be better. I purchased the Pantene Dry Shampoo recently and was disappointed with the results, great for volume but that was about it. This is definitely going on the shopping list this week & if on offer even better!

Hope things are good wirh you! This is the first dry shampoo that has really impressed me and although I'm not committed to any haircare brand, for dry shampoo I haven't even been looking at any others. Let me know which one you get and if you like it!

My current favourite is 'Survive and Revive' Dry Shampoo by Rush (£5 in M&S). No chalky residue and it makes my hair feel really fresh on the in-between hair washing days!
Just discovered though that my local Superdrug is stocking Colab, so I may have to pop in and buy some!
