Perfume Empties

Hey everyone! Today’s post is a Perfume Empties post which I have been really excited about writing because although I love both of these perfumes, there is one that I swear by and wear constantly (the second I noticed I had none left I swiftly went online and ordered another because I cannot live without it).  Both of these perfumes are definitely worth the investment and really impressed me. Let’s get started!

See By Chloe  (30ml, £28.80, All Beauty, Sephora)

I have a back story to tell before I go into telling you all about this perfume: I was in duty free last year and when I spotted See by Chloe, I couldn’t wait to smell it! I sprayed a little on my wrist and I don’t know what happened, but I just wasn’t instantly keen on the scent. I can’t explain it (do bear in mind that it was like 3am!) but it just wasn’t for me. Anyway, I picked up a few other bits and didn’t give this perfume a second thought…

Then I was on the plane and my friend noticed that I kept smelling my wrist and asked what the hell I was doing. ‘I need to buy this perfume! I actually love it!’ I exclaimed. That is when I knew I had to purchase See by Chloe as I soon as possible! I was just utterly obsessed with the scent and I think that you really need to give a scent a chance to ‘calm down’ if that makes sense. Anyway, onto the perfume!

First of all, I really like the bottle! It is shaped like a bird cage and the glass really catches the light which looks so pretty sitting on my bathroom shelf. The scent itself is really pretty: really floral and fruity, containing hints of bergamot, apple blossom, jasmine and vanilla. Yes, it is a girly scent but it is not overly girly or immature (I’m 30 and I really like it!). I’m a huge fan of this scent and the fact that I have used it all up says a lot because I have a lot of different perfumes on that bathroom shelf.

The scent itself does linger throughout the day but I do find myself having to top it up after say eight hours or so. For me, this is definitely a spring/summer fragrance and I am glad that I purchased it. Will I buy it again? I think so, but not in the imminent future. I would definitely recommend it and my younger sister loves it so I may purchase it for her birthday or Christmas this year. Good thing that she doesn’t read my blog!

Molecule 01  (30ml, £27.00, Cult BeautyLiberty London)

Oh my, I cannot even begin to describe how much I love, love, love this perfume. If I could only pick one perfume to wear for the rest of my life, Molecule 01 by Escentic Molecules is that perfume!! This is the fragrance that when I noticed I had ran out, I purchased another online instantly. I would not be without this perfume now! It is a unisex fragrance so I probably shouldn’t really call it a perfume, but for the sake of this post, it is!

And yet again, another back story. I got this perfume for Christmas 2014 from my mum after she asked me if there was a fragrance that I really wanted this year. I have to be honest and admit that I have never had the chance to smell this perfume so I actually had no idea what to expect. But when Lily Pebbles mentioned it (in a favourites video I think?)  I knew it was bound to be a safe investment. Thankfully, I was right.

One of the unique things about Molecule 01 is that it smells different on every single person. The scent is warm and musky. (definitely not floral and fruity) Honestly, this is heaven in a bottle. I’ve been stopped on a train, in a cafe, walking down an aisle in Tesco and had people ask me what perfume I am wearing and where they can purchase it from. I’ve had fragrance compliments in the past but honestly, nothing like this! Oh, this is my first date perfume too! It always goes down a treat!

The travel sized bottle comes without a lid but for me that is not an issue at all. I’ve been wearing this perfume pretty much daily since I got it for Christmas (thanks again mum!) and I’m impressed this bottle has lasted so long. One of the best things about this fragrance is that it does not need topped up at all! I use it the morning and don’t even need to take it out with me because the scent lingers all day long. Sometimes you can’t smell it on yourself but then out of nowhere, you suddenly will and it is like you just sprayed it all over again. And the times that you can’t smell it, everyone else can!

I really love this perfume (as if you couldn’t tell already) and I would highly recommend it!

So these are my perfume empties and I’m impressed with them both (although one has stolen my heart!). I can’t wait to go duty free shopping soon and buy another new perfume! Any recommendations? Also, let me know what perfumes you have used up recently, either in the comments below or tweet me @thingsarahloves

Loved this post Sarah! I use Cerruti 1982 (sorry if I spelt it wrong), and it's harder to get hold of now, when I first started wearing it years ago, I received a million compliments on it too. Think it might be time to try something different soon, will have to find molecule 101 in a shop and test it out 😉 such a fun read too, I love how you write xxx

It's totally true that you need to let a scent kind of breathe before you are sure on it. My mum always carries the little paper sample of it around for ages before she makes a decision.

I love the See by Chloe perfume but unfortunately, just like 99.9% of all perfumes, it doesn't work on me :/ But I always get a little sample when I go to the shops just so I can smell it!
