Miraclesuit Swimwear Review

Hope everyone is doing well! If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you may know that I went to Lanzarote and one thing that I loved was taking a dip in the pool! I love swimming in general and for so long, I’ve been looking for a good swimming costume that I felt comfortable and secure in (any girl who has a larger bust will understand this!) so when I was given the chance to review a swimming costume, I was interested to see if I would finally find one that ticks all my boxes.

The Miraclesuit claims to make you look 10lbs lighter, which in all honesty I didn’t believe! It’s a pretty bold claim to make and being truthful, I don’t particularly like it. As women, we should want to feel confident within ourselves (body confidence is something I am very passionate about) but why does that mean having to look as if you weigh less?! Being thin doesn’t mean you are confident (nor does it guarantee that you are going to be viewed as ‘attractive’, despite the message the media portrays!)  I understand why this ‘selling point’ is used (and would be popular) but I honestly don’t think it is needed and let me tell you why..

The polka dot Miraclesuit is gorgeous and I was immediately impressed with the quality. Having a larger bust, I was surprised with how secure and comfortable I felt wearing this costume. I imagined it would feel really tight and uncomfortable but I was so relieved to find it didn’t feel like that at all! I love the ‘layered effect’ it created across the tummy area which was extremely flattering and created a gorgeous silhouette. Did it make me look 10lbs lighter? Being brutally honest – no. But did it make me feel more confident in the body I have poolside? Definitely. And that is the point!  This costume and my body shape were a marriage made in heaven! The swimsuit worked with the curves I have (and love by the way) which is good enough for me! For those reasons, I LOVE this costume!

The Miraclesuit doesn’t come without a hefty price tag (£120) but it is like the saying goes: you get what you pay for. For the sheer quality, it is worth it alone (I’m very fussy when it comes to swimwear). There is also an array of different colours and designs to choose from so you will be able to find one you love! A costume like this is definitely an investment and I know it will last me for years to come which I’m more than happy with! The only thing I would personally change is the marketing campaign cause ‘Look 10lbs lighter in 10 seconds’ just doesn’t sit well with me at all…

Hurrah for body confidence. For me, it's all about keeping the bust snug and secure so I'm with you on that too 🙂 xx

Wow! I love the shape of the suit even on the hanger! And the colours and pattern are gorgeous like you say. Cannot believe how much it is though! I could never afford that much for a swim suit 🙁 but I can really see how it would be SO flattering! If it didn't fade and withstands chlorine then I can understand it being a little pricier than the high street but that's so much haha! Loved reading your post as always 🙂 really well written! Xxxx

This does have a hefty price tag but sometimes if something works, maybe it's worth it? I think for me, it's all about feeling confident in yourself and the rest will follow xx
