Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

It seems like every beauty blogger out there has written a review on Garnier Micellar Cleansing Micellar Water. I read my fair share of blogs and I was overwhelmed with the amount of positive reviews that I just had to grab a bottle for myself. I popped into Boots (drugstore here in the UK) and purchased a 400ml bottle for £4.19. It states on the bottle that 400ml will get you 200 uses.
Garnier say that this Micellar Water will remove your make up in ‘one easy step’ as well as soothing and hydrating you skin. Basically, they describe this fragrance free water as being like a magnet that make up and dirt is drawn to. As a result, your skin is left cleansed and refreshed with no face washing required! Simply apply to a cotton pad and wipe. So I did just that.
I have really sensitive skin (seriously, even splashing water on my face turns it red for a few minutes) and this product is PERFECT for sensitive skin. It doesn’t turn my face red and my skin is more than content which is a very good thing!
Did anyone see the episode of Father Ted where Mrs Doyle is being shown a tea machine and when asked what she thinks, she says “Maybe I like the misery.” . Well in this case, I’m Mrs Doyle. I like the misery of washing my face! My face feels cleansed and I need that feeling in my life.  I love my Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel! Don’t get me wrong, there are occasions (albeit rare ones) that I can’t be bothered washing my face and at those times, yeah I have reached for this. It is not the same but convenient. For me, I put this in the same category as face wipes; they do the job when you are in a rush or just too damn lazy!
I’m not overwhelmed by this product. I haven’t fallen in love with it. Yeah, my skin likes it and eventually, it removes all my make up but I have used better products that do the job much more efficiently in one simple step. I do want to try the La Roche Posay Micellar Water which is on my list!
Sorry guys! I know so many of you love it but this is just my personal opinion. If you have sensitive skin it is wonderful but that is where it stops for me.No-one wants to be disappointed in a product they purchase but such is life – it happens!

An honest review, I like it. I am not a fav of face wipes at all so I probably wouldn't buy this product although for those who at times need a quick fix & have sensitive skin this sounds good – Thanks!

Aww thanks, I appreciate that. I know what you mean, I don't particularly like using face wipes either but there are times they are handy!

Am I daft? I have never heard of micellar water…! Not even sure I've seen down it here, but I use a cleansing oil, love it!

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil is amazing!! Micellar Waters are becoming really popular here but I'm not sure if one will ever really impress me!

No wonder, I think we are slightly behind here, but I've been immersed in Korean skin care… Ah-mazing!!

I'm similar…don't quite feel cleansed enough with a micellar water but do find them useful after a night out or if I'm removing my make up only to reapply it

      Hey Tori,

I'm exactly the same! I just don't feel it removes my make up as well as some other products do.

Have not tried this one yet. Nice to know that it didn't react with your sensitive skin as I am the same and have to be careful what I use
