Dogs That Dine!

dogsthatdine
I’ve been planning to organise a charity fundraiser for quite some time and I am so glad it is now happening! Dogs That Dine is going to bring bloggers, dog lovers and some of our four-legged friends together to raise money for Dogs Trust Glasgow. The centre has been looking to raise money to improve the exercise/play area and I really wanted to do anything I could to help.

Dogs That Dine – The Details:
The event will take place at The Hyde (9-17 Partick Bridge St, Glasgow G11 6PN) on Saturday14th May from 2pm until 4pm (the room I have hired out has it’s own private entrance down from the main entrance and will be signposted).
You will receive a welcome drink and a yummy buffet will be on offer. As well as this, there will be plenty of nibbles/water for any dogs coming along! There are going to be various presentations , a dog photo booth with plenty of props (organised by Yelp Glasgow), goody bags for everyone (including treats for you and your dog) and a raffle! There will also be a competition for the best Instagram photo on the day! The dogs are going to be spoiled  too because well…it is all about them after all!
Tickets are £15.00 each and if you have a sociable dog then bring them along! Just email thingssarahloves@gmail.com for payment details (tickets must be purchased in advance)  and let me know if you have a four legged friend that fancies coming along for the afternoon! PLACES ARE LIMITED (particularly for dogs) so if you would like to come please let me know ASAP. Thanks!
There will be a few surprises but the aim of this event is to raise money for a centre that does incredible work. My sister volunteers at Dogs Trust Glasgow for a few days every single week and after the event, I will be updating my blog showing exactly what the centre has done with the money we have all raised. Dogs Trust never put a good dog down and I hope the money from Dogs That Dine goes some way into making their time at the centre all that more enjoyable!
I have had so much support from Dogs Trust and various local companies who are excited to be involved There are a limited number of spaces available (for people and dogs) so please come along, meet some fellow bloggers/dog lovers and spend an afternoon with man’s best friend!
On social media I’m using the hashtag #dogsthatdine so make sure you join in the convo!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and thank you so much to everyone who has supported me organising this event and offered to help out – I really appreciate it.
P.S: No cats allowed, haha!

Sounds brilliant – I know if I went to something similar I'd end up having to take half the dogs home with me!

Sounds amazing! I’d love to come but I’m not sure if my two little furry ones would be good enough – I can’t see them dining with very good etiquette! A fantastic cause though, well done for organising.

Oh what a fantastic idea for a charity event! Can it get any better than furry friends and food?!

I plan to come to this.

I have a red labrador but he’s far too manic for me to bring him along. He’d eat and destroy everything in site before demanding everyone pets him for attention.

      Hi Liam,

Haha for exactly the same reasons I’m not bringing my chocolate lab! Great to hear that you are interested in coming along though! Just drop me an email and I can give you the details to purchase your place. Look forward to hearing from you soon!

      Have a great weekend!

Oh no I am too late and missed it. Have you heard of my #FleabagFriday series over on my blog?
I know it is too late but it would be great if you could talk about your experience of Dogs That Dine or about some of the pets who were there/your own pet etc.
You can check out the tag on my blog and I’ll email you more details if you are interested. If so just get in touch via my blog or tweet me @teainthetub
Thank you 🙂 I hope it was a success.
