I decided to give myself a bit of a challenge: pick ONE product from The Body Shop that whether travelling or at home, I couldn’t live without this summer. I rummaged through my Body Shop stash of lip balms, body butters, make up and vitamin E skincare products umming and ahhing over what to pick. Then I spotted my Mango Body Sorbet and honestly, it was a lightbulb moment.
Did you see my recent post on My Favourite Handbag Hand Creams?. If so, you won’t be that surprised that the Mango Body Sorbet is mentioned here. As you will know by now, I have very dry skin and I am obsessed with body lotions and body butters BUT this summer it is all about my Mango Body Sorbet. This is why whether home or on my travels, it will be my trusty sidekick.
The body sorbet has a gel like texture (which is always cold and cooling – how the hell do they do that??!!) that sinks into my skin instantly and this is exactly what I need. Don’t get me wrong, there are times I enjoy taking the time to pamper myself applying body lotions or butters but not during the summer! If I’m abroad or at home, I want to be out enjoying the sunshine (or the rain, you should see the weather in Glasgow right now!) and I really want to dedicate as little time as possible to applying a cream based body lotion which generally take longer for my skin to absorb. It’s bad enough when I’m abroad and need to spend time slapping sun tan lotion on my ridiculously pale skin – I really don’t want to waste a second! This really is instant skin hydration!
Okay that was a bit of a mini rant but you understand what I mean. As with the hand cream the Mango Body Sorbet contains mango seed oil from India and smells divine (again, it could be a little overpowering if you use a lot but trust me with this a little goes a long way). The mango scent is definitely my favourite for summer – utterly delicious!
The Body Sorbets are available in: Fuji Green Tea, Strawberry, Morigna, Satsuma, Pink Grapefruit and of course, Mango. They are £8.00 each for 200ml. You can find out more information and purchase these from The Body Shop
Now I am setting you a challenge: I want to know what ONE product you couldn’t live without this summer and why!
